HELLO Elias Mateo

2 days before Christmas 2015 I got this sweet family started on their adoption journey. They were ready to be parents and they were all in. From day one I felt like I had known Christina forever. She is wonderful!

They were ON THE BALL. By March, they were already home study and Profile Book ready and excited to start seeing potential adoption situations. Over the next few months we would go over all the questions that naturally come with adoption, as each situation came and went we would see if they were a good fit for Christina and Zach. We got a situation on expectant mama “M” and as soon as they decide to present we got an email saying she had gone in labor and they found a family quickly. They were definitely bummed, but also understand God’s know their little one and this just wasn’t the right timing.

In June they were officially matched with expectant mama “K” who was due with a beautiful baby boy in August. Over the next two months they grew the most amazing, beautiful open adoption relationship with “K” and her other son. They went to meet in person and sent me pictures that I would swoon over.

Open adoption is truly such a gift when it is a good fit for everyone.

On August 15, 2015 Elisa Mateo made his arrival!

When they got home their friends and family welcomed them with open arms!

I love this sweet family (okay I love them all), but I REALLY love this one! CONGRATS Christina and Zach, I loved being a small role in your beautiful adoption journey.
