I will be honest and say this is something I have personally struggled with. After years of infertility, waiting to be a mom, waiting to fall into a job I was passionate about, waiting for the right man to spend my life with. All of it…just a whole lot of waiting.
I just wanted to take a few moments of my day and speak some love and encouragement over you. I want you to know that we are loved by a God that doesn’t give up and doesn’t give in. He sees things through to the end and so should we..
We are never doing this alone and it is so important to not forget that sweet little detail.
One of the things I always tell my clients through an adoption process is, “You can’t mess this up no matter how hard you try.” Once you put your “YES” on the table…He will guide you down the right path. There are no missed opportunities just perfectly timed out better opportunities.
The home study process can be exhausting, but the REAL test and hard part comes when you are ready to presenting and waiting for your YES.
Waiting for the right situation
Waiting for the fear to leave so you CAN present
Waiting for the funds to all be there
Waiting to hear a YES instead of a NO
Waiting to fill that empty room in your house
Waiting to FINALLY make your baby announcement after celebrating everyone else’s
Waiting to stroll down the baby aisle
Waiting for the house to not be so quiet
Waiting for your family to feel complete
Waiting to see your spouse as a mommy or daddy
Waiting to love on an expectant mama
Just a whole lot of waiting. But, FRIENDS. Please know there is purpose in the pain and worth in the wait.
Do not re-do your book, Do not think you are not good enough, Do not think you are missing something, Do not think this won’t happen for you.
One of the best things you can do is to believe God to be bigger than your fears and unknowns. Huge blessings are waiting RIGHT on the outskirts of our comfort zones and I would love to be the one to tell you to…GO.
Put your yes on the table and GO because you can’t mess this up.
Can I just tell you. Those two boys right there, they made me whole. The things we read about their past and what they were subjected to in their mama’s belly was hard. It was scary and there were a LOT of unknowns. Heck, there still are. Tyler and I were two 24 year olds that said “Yes” on faith and faith alone. God will never give us something he won’t also equip us for.
Never forget that.
This. This is us. This is what going outside your comfort zone looks like.
And let me tell you…It is so good guys.
I am BEGGING you do not let fear stop you from Glorifying God through your actions to believe in Him to carry your through every tough valley you will face.
Adoption never crossed my mind, until it did. Now it is my whole life. Quite literally.
We serve an on time God and He will never disappoint ❤
